Leading digital printer 1st Byte
produces stunning Mirri event ticket

1st Byte, a leading digital printer, based in London has produced a fantastic promotional ticket using newly certified Mirri Pak for HP Indigo material. The ticket was for a 1st Byte lunchtime seminar called “Innovations in creative printing” held at the Eagle Gallery in London. Places at the event that was held on the 12th of March were restricted to the first 50 replies and were snapped up by creative’s very quickly. Dates for another seminar due to be held in April will be launched shortly.

The invite was printed with 4 colour + white using a HP Indigo 7000 series on 415 mic/300gsm Mirri Pak for HP Indigo in silver, using the Color-Logic software, with an emboss applied to the Mirri. The Mirri was then glued to four layers of GF Smith ColorPlan, three layers of Fuschia Pink and one layer of Ebony Black. The reverse of the invite was printed with special raised ink on the HP Indigo 7000 series, using a white, special green, pink and clear ink. Raised ink is an innovative addition to the possibilities now available when printing with HP Indigo technology. 200 tickets were printed and each one was personalised to each contact, with first and second name details.

Lawrence Dalton, Managing Director of 1st Byte, commented, “We are at the forefront of the digital revolution, pushing the creative boundaries of HP Indigo technology. Digital gives us the flexibility to produce personalised campaigns, one off presentation pieces or spectacular small to medium run campaigns using HP Indigo innovative printing techniques coupled with sexy materials like Mirri and other HP Indigo certified substrates”.

Lawrence added “We regularly produce high end event tickets, decorative restaurant menus, personalised direct mail, corporate presentation and tender materials, plus many other items all using our innovative HP Indigo digital technology”.

Steve Middleton, Sales Director at Celloglas, commented “It’s fantastic to see an innovative printer use our new Mirri Pak for HP Indigo substrate in such a creative way, this new Mirri product is perfect to make invites”.

1st Byte is also a certified Color-Logic Printer. The Process Metallic Color System™ by Color-Logic is a patent pending technology which empowers its users to create and print striking special effect designs.
