Mirri featured
in December issue of Computer Arts

The December issue of Computer Arts has a cover print feature called “ New adventures in print”. This feature discusses revolutionary new finishes, processes and techniques in print.

From page 36 – 47 the article focuses mainly on developments on the digital side and features the Mirri Specsavers Midsummer Ball invite which was digitally printed on a HP Indigo press with white ink, Celloglas also applied a silk laminate and spot UV varnish to ramp up the decadence.

The article also mentions the arrival of Color-logic, and describes it as a system for creating accurate metallic colours on a regular press. Mirri has recently become a certified metallic material under the Color-logic system. Color-logic is basically a software plug in that works with most design programmes, allowing the user to prepare complicated white layers quickly and easily, producing stunning prints via licensed printers, see examples in the Mirri website gallery.

Celloglas print finishes are also mentioned in the article see the Celloglas website for more details. www.celloglas.co.uk
